Family... family is not always smiling faces and jolly horah... yes, it’s your family who usually love you most - but family is also where you see the best and worst of people, you don’t have to be afraid of “If they only knew the real me...” your family knows the real you - the clutz you were as a kid, the nerd you were in Jr. high, the stink you leave in the bathroom - family gets personal! But family is always there for you. When you make the biggest mess of your life, family is there to help you clean it up; when you achieve your greatest goals, family is there to celebrate with you. When we’re kids we fight with our brothers and sisters about some of the stupidest things... things that when we grow older we look back on and think, “I can’t believe we used to fight... and I don’t even remember what it was about!”... perhaps that’s why God calls us his little children... perhaps that’s why we have so many denominations - we’re still spiritual children arguing about details that don’t matter in the larger picture of God’s plan.
